Elizabeth Olsen Says ‘WandaVision’ Series Is Kevin Feige’s Creation

Scarlet Witch Elizabeth Olsen Kevin Feige WandaVision Disney Marvel Paul Bettany Benedict Cumberbatch Doctor StrangeElizabeth Olsen discussed how she found out that WandaVision was coming and that it was Kevin Feige’s idea to give Scarlet Witch and Vision their own show.

Elizabeth Olsen recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the WandaVision show that’ll stream on Disney plus. While the actress wasn’t quite sure how much she was supposed to say about WandaVision, she revealed that it was originally Kevin Feige’s creation. WandaVision will supposedly focus on Scarlet Witch as she creates a perfect world with a resurrected Vision where they can live happily ever after… But since Kevin Feige’s WandaVision was also recently described by director Matt Shakman called it an ‘epic action sitcom’, it’s unlikely their happiness will last very long.

During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Elizabeth Olsen revealed that she was called into Kevin Feige’s office expecting to be told off, but instead he told her about her Scarlet Witch role going into WandaVision. She explained that the show was all his idea, and since Kevin Feige previously confirmed that the series will directly lead into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it’s probable that Scarlet Witch’s whole story arc from here on out was his idea. Olsen also revealed that she knows a lot about the show and that it’s ‘pretty great’. Watch the interview with Elizabeth Olsen about Kevin Feige’s WandaVision below.

“When I found about it, Feige had Paul and I come in at different times to his office and it really felt like being called into the principals office. He was worried he was getting fired, but I think that Paul’s really great at telling stories so I don’t know how accurate that is, or if it just makes a better story saying that. For me I just thought I’d got in trouble saying something about Infinity War or something at the time. It’s kind of Feige’s creation, the show. It’s an idea that he conceived. It’s pretty great. I know a lot about it.”
