Infinity War’ Deleted Scene With Iron Man Revealed
A deleted scene from Avengers: Infinity War featuring Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and a creepy creature has been revealed.
A bevy of deleted scenes from Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame have made their way online thanks to both films being released on home video. Now that most filmed deleted scenes have been consumed by public, we’re now being introduced to deleted scenes that either haven’t been filmed or were never officially released.
In an Instagram post, artist Jerad S. Marantz shared a creature design that would have been at the core of a deleted scene that featured Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. In the description of the post, Marantz discusses how he has no idea if the deleted scene would have been in Avengers: Infinity War or in Avengers: Endgame. However, it’s a safe bet that the scene would be in Avengers: Infinity War as it’s the only film that features an extended conversation between Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Doctor Strange. In addition, Marantz states the the scene takes place in the Sanctum, which we saw Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man in in Avengers: Infinity War.
The deleted scene from Avengers: Infinity War would have shown Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man walking down the hallway in the Sanctum only to be approached by a squid-like creature who offers him a cup of tea. Robert Downy Jr.’s Iron Man would have responded to the creature with “I don’t like being handed things.” You can check out the deleted creature that would have spoken to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man in Avengers: Infinity War below.
It’s a shame that we didn’t get a chance to see this creature as it would have definitely shaken up Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man. There’s also a certain charm to this creature just hanging around the sanctum, casually offering everyone a cup of tea. Perhaps the creature can surface in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel seeing as it resides in the Sanctum? The artist doesn’t give any indication if this deleted scene was actually filmed or not, but as time goes on, we’re certain we’ll learn more information about other deleted scenes.
Are you disappointed that this scene featuring Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and this creature offering him tea from Avengers: Infinity War was scrapped? Let us know in the comments!
Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Benedict Cumberbatch were last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Here’s the official synopsis:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
