Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor Returns In New Crisis On Infinite Earths Teaser
New teasers for Crisis on Infinite Earths reveal the origin of Pariah and how Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor will return.
Jon Cryer made his first appearance as Lex Luthor in the fourth season of Supergirl, which concluded with the evil billionaire meeting his demise after being shot by his sister, Lena Luthor. However, The Monitor managed to retrieve the body of Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor for unknown reasons, leaving many to assume the villainous genius wouldn’t remain deceased forever.
Last night’s season five episode of Supergirl confirmed those assumptions during a scene in which the Monitor confronts Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor, who is seen alive and well on what appears to be a platform floating through space. The Monitor informs Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor that he brought him back because the universe will need a mind like his and that the time has come for the villain to fulfill his “destiny”. While Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor is “happy to help,” the criminal mastermind insists on discussing what to do about his sister first.
In addition to the scene featuring Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor, the most recent episode of Batwoman featured a Crisis on Infinite Earths teaser revealing the origin of Tom Cavanagh’s Pariah. During the scene, Nash Wells confronts the mysterious wall he told Team Flash serves as a portal to the Monitor and then appears to be transported to an unknown location after pressing the symbols on the wall in a particular order.
