See Avengers’ Dave Bautista As Bane In James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad
Avengers star Dave Bautista transforms into the monstrous Bane for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad in some great new art.
While Dave Bautista might be currently best known for his Avengers role as Drax the Destroyer as well as previously appearing in both of the James Gun Guardians films, some new artwork pictures the Avengers actor as Bane. Although James Gunn didn’t include the actor on his cast list for The Suicide Squad, Dave Bautista would be a great addition to the team – and Bane would be a force to be reckoned with.
The artwork pictures Avengers star Dave Bautista wearing the classic black and white mask from the comics, while the green Venom is pumped into his veins transforming him into Bane. The artist “ihasankazi” suggested that Dave Bautista should appear in The Batman, but given that the actor has previously lobbied for a role in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad – Bane would be the perfect role to do so.
Take a look at what Avengers star Dave Bautista could look like as Bane for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad below.
Dave Bautista campaigned for a role in next Suicide Squad movie following James Gunn’s brief firing from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, since he was making his displeasure with Disney’s temporary decision to part ways with the director very clearly known to the public. Since James Gunn is back on that movie, Dave Bautista will be busy with Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers movies… although he says that he’s open to appear in other superhero franchises. For now, Dave Bautista is filming Zack Snyder’s upcoming Netflix movie Army of the Dead.
David Ayer’s Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The sequel will see the return of four cast members from that film — Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag. James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the supervillain team in his upcoming movie, with Idris Elba playing a new character on the team, David Dastmalchian starring as Polka-Dot Man, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher, and Steve Agee voicing King Shark. Other cast members confirmed for the ensemble picture include John Cena, Storm Reid, Flula Borg, Nathan Fillion, Taika Waititi, Peter Capaldi, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Mayling Ng, Jennifer Holland, Pete Davidson, Juan Diego Botto, Alice Braga, Tinashe Kajese, Julio Ruiz, and Joaquín Cosío.
James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Batman, The Flash, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, Supergirl and New Gods.
The Suicide Squad will be released in theaters on August 6, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Avengers, Dave Bautista, James Gunn and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
