Supergirl star David Harewood has denied the rumors that Martian Manhunter is joining Legends of Tomorrow‘s fifth season.
Rumors have been swirling ahead of the impending Arrowverse crossover that Martian Manhunter would be appearing in the back half of Legends of Tomorrow‘s fifth season. The rumors have become so prominent that the man behind Supergirl‘s Martian Manhunter has officially debunked the idea. Martian Manhunter will likely appear during Crisis on Infinite Earths to help defend the Arrowverse from the Anti-Monitor, but a rumor suggested that he’d also go time-travelling on Legends of Tomorrow.
David Harewood took to Twitter to deny the rumor that Martian Manhunter was moving over to Legends of Tomorrow. The Supergirl star mentioned there was “ZERO truth in ANY of these MM rumours”, before also explaining that he’s not sure where the idea came from. Admittedly Supergirl‘s Martian Manhunter would make an interesting addition to the Legends of Tomorrow team, so it’s a shame he won’t be appearing on the show.
